Presenting his new vehicle, the newest an most expensive he has ever bought in his long and twisted life: TOYOTA MASTER ACE, 2000cc DIESEL TURBO, 5-6 PASSENGERS WITH LUGGAGE, 4 WHEEL DRIVE. SOON: UTILITY TRAILER!

As before, long-distance trips no problem. Particular knowledge and good sense of the area between Moscow & St. Petersburg. Camping gear is available for those who wish to save on hotels. Rear seats unfold into two small beds. Computer with mobile internet is available. Air conditioning is in place and can be activated if the travelling public so desires and shows evidence of willing to pay for it.. 110/220 volt power supply can also be made available to help you work while on the road.

But both the vehicle and its driver are slow, the ride is bumpy, especially if you are sitting at the front, and is right-handed design makes things a bit awkward.

Your contribution towards keeping this piece of metal moving:

Sheremetyevo to anywhere in the center of Moscow - $80

Domodedovo to anywhere in Moscow - $90

Domodedovo to Sheremetyevo - $140 (takes a good part of the day)

Hourly rate: $30 (about 20Euro) per hour or $300 per day. Fuel may be extra for long trips but it runs 25-30 miles per gallon. A reasonable amount of assistance in trip planning is complimentary. Discounts possible for charitable or other "do good" projects. Interested in participating in "projects", not just in aimlessly driving tourists around.

No surcharge for night work.

Yes, you are most welcomed to discuss your plans and otherwise pick my brains during your ride. YES, YOU CAN USE ME AS YOUR INTERPRETER. Just try to sit silent when I backup or do other nasty maneuvers.

NO I DON'T MIND ACTING AS AN ERRAND BOY TO GET YOU TICKETS OR PIZZA.

In exceptional cases (I personally know you, am of good opinion of your ability to drive in Russia, and am convinced that you will easily and cheerfully compensate damages) I will consider letting you borrow the vehicle without tugging me along. Thinking of buying a small Oka car to be loaned to my choice guests. Feedback on this idea invited.

Testing the vehicle's off-road ability. UAZ I confess is better.

This is my housekeeper and all-around assistant Valentina (Tina). She plans to get more serious transportation soon, thus this place of honour close to the top of the drivers list for her.

Speaking of "non-serious" vehicles, I'm thinking of making Amsterdam-style bicycles available for rent in Moscow, and testing the market with my own bike for rent. Details of the bike rental pilot project. 

• Inexpensive home-style accommodation in good part of Moscow. Talk to her if you need a $50-70/night room or a $100-120/night apartment in an area where hotels start at $200/night.  [Pre-crisis rates; may be a bit lower now.]

• Errands in Moscow: find, buy, post, deliver etc. Lots of energy and she is no procrastinator.

• Russian bride search assistance. Valentina knows lots of women and, unlike me, does not hesitate to approach candidates. Write to her with a copy to me if you are interested in a customized Russian bride search via newspaper ads and especially personal contacts. She is good at organizing parties and facilitating contact. (Disclaimer: I personally try to stay away from it all.)

VALENTINA DOES NOT SPEAK ENGLISH WELL. Please write in a manner suitable for machine translation: short clear complete sentences, proper punctuation, correct spelling, no idiomatic expressions. She is computer-literate and can effectively use MT so in most cases written communication is no problem. Calling her on the phone in English is to be avoided. Always send me a copy of your communications with her.

All but one driver this little company uses are WOMEN!!! Sane driving style, no smoking, no BO, better communication skills.  Or at least that's what I'd expect and happily pay extra $10 compared to the average airport transfer rate to be spared the subtle torture of sharing space with your "typical" Moscow taxi/gypsy cab driver. I'm Alex Mozolev, a resident of Moscow with excellent knowledge of my region. My main job is IT.  My English is not fluent, but we'll understand each other.  I asked Pasha to be put on his famous list not only to make a few roubles to upkeep my vehicle but also to have a chance to practice my English.  Or, if you are here to study Russian, I'll be happy to be of assistance too.  My vehicle is Mitsubishi Delica. It comfortably fits 6 passengers and goes over just about any terrain. At the same time it is small and maneuverable enough for Moscow traffic.  So I can get you from airport to city core and to Pasha's wild-rural dacha with same ease.  I can be reached at phone +7-910-472-41-85 (don't speak English too fast) or email me .  If you write, expect to hear from me within 24 hours. In addition to driving I can be of assistance with some outdoor experience (backcountry trekking, kayaking, snow-kiting and so on).  At present I can serve you mostly in the evenings and week-ends, but it depends.
